What is 1996 Group?

1996 Group is a hospitality group led by Florence Mae, focused on modern Filipino food and culture.

It acts as a creative umbrella built around Filipino identity, memory, and London’s dining scene, and serves as the parent group for Panadera and Donia, as well as other creative projects and future concepts from her and the team.

Pandera Soho

Panadera is the group’s bakery concept, with two locations both rooted in the everyday traditions of Filipino bread culture. It takes familiar flavours and formats, particularly pandesal, and reinterprets them through a London lens, offering a more casual and accessible entry point into the group’s wider world. The flagship being In the heart of Soho, down Hopkins Street.

Pandera Marylebone

The smaller of the two and the brands first outpost in Marylebone. It brings the bakery’s signature Filipino-inspired offering into a more intimate neighbourhood setting, focusing on fresh pandesal, baked goods, and sandwiches made for everyday dining.

Donia

The group’s Michelin Bib Gourmand–awarded restaurant. Donia sits in the heart of Soho, quietly doing things its own way. The restaurant harmonises authentic Filipino flavours with contemporary culinary technique and locally sourced British ingredients.

A Modern Hospitality Collective

1996 Group is a collective rethinking hospitality, food, and culture. We create experiences that bring people together through food, design, and collaboration. Core values include community, innovation, cultural heritage, and creativity.
