Dreaming of Japan? Wanting to try something new in your food palette? Coming in straight from the land of anime and manga, Japan! It’s finally landed all the way to North London - we present to you our take to a classic Japanese sandos!

What is a sando?
Sando is a term that means sandwich in Japanese. Typically in Japan, these are traditionally fluffy shokupan bread made using a pork katsu. Japanese sandwich joints have been emerging globally and we saw this as an opportunity to bring more flavours from East Asia to our neighbourhood. From Japan to now making its way to the British food scene, we were inspired by the workings of this Japanese staple. We wanted to bring a playful touch through our signature Panadera Loaf

Filipino Sandos

Our love for no-crust sandwiches and Filipino flavours has driven our bakery team to add this in our savoury menu offerings. Apart from the baking for our loaves, we fell in love with the idea of combining something that is synonymous to the Philippines.

Corned Beef Hash Sando

For all the meat lovers out there, we bring to you an array of exciting flavours in a sandwich. Our take on a classic katsu is from a Filipino traditional ingredient, corned beef. Our beefs are brined for over 24 hours. We shred it ourselves, mince and chop it altogether. We then wrap it with béchamel sauce and make it into a Filipino-style croquette.

Egg Sando

For all our vegetarian consumers out there, we know you’d love a sandwich classic! Our artisanal egg sando are made from rich and high-quality eggs from the English countryside. We wanted to highlight that a simple sandwich like egg

Culture and Innovation

In Filipino culture, these two ingredients are typically eaten for breakfast. Egg and corned beef are two simple protein ingredients that we wanted to experiment with our loaves and get creative in our kitchens at Panadera using these traditional filipino ingredients. You can expect our sandos to be a taste of cultural innovation. This may be your perfect snack or a great food when you are craving a filling lunch.

Our Filipino sandos are freshly made 7 days a week and are available for pre-order for collection priced at £7.50 for our Corned Beef Hash Sandos and £4.50 for our Egg Sando. We are also reachable on takeaway, simply visit us at 87 Kentish Town Road for more!
